Not-for-profit online giving platform The Big Give has won the Digital Giving Award at the Technology4Good Awards 2013. The award, sponsored by NFPtweetup, recognises people or organisations that use computers and the Internet in inspiring ways to generate support for charitable causes, whether through fundraising or other help in kind.

The Big Give beat competition from other category finalists Payroll Giving in Action and Healthy Planet.

In just three days over Christmas 2012 The Big Give was used to raise over £10 million for charities, by doubling 11,000 online donations to 350 participating charities working in the UK and internationally.
