Guardian Charity Awards 2003 winners announced

Five small charities with annual incomes of below £1 million have won this year's Guardian Charity Awards.

The winners were Theodora Children's Trust, The Shilbottle Skills Centre, Friends of the Earth Scotland, No Panic, and Ace of Clubs. Each received a payment of £5,000 and they will also be given a free Web site designed by smartchange.org.

Boots wins award for best online CCI reporting

High street retailer Boots plc, has won the Gold Hallmark Award for the best online
reporting of its community and charitable activities.

12th Annual Scottish Fundraising Awards

Entries are being sought for the 12th Annual Scottish Fundraising Awards.

The awards are made by the Institute of Fundraising Scotland at their annual conference, which will be held on 28 and 29 October 2003 at the Hilton Dunblane Hydro at Dunblane, Perthshire.

The Phone Room wins European Call Centre of the Year Award

The Phone Room logo

The Phone Room Ltd., the Oxford-based telephone fundraising and marketing agency for the charity sector, has won one of the two top awards for European Call Centre of the Year at the European Call Centre Awards held at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole.

Three hundred and fifty call centres across Europe competed for the Awards, run by Call Centre Focus magazine.

Cascaid wins Charity Times Fundraising Supplier of the Year award

The direct marketing and consultancy group has now won the award for three consecutive years.

The award was presented at the Grosvenor House Hotel on the 3rd September, where they were classed as 'clear winners' of their group.

Computer recycling enterprise wins 2003 Sieff Award

Recycle-IT!, based in Luton, is the winner of the 2003 Sieff Award which recognises organisations or individuals that have successfully collaborated with the corporate sector to benefit the community.

The innovative community enterprise, which has provided good causes with over 30,000 recycled computer systems, was honoured at an awards ceremony today.

National Trust wins Fundraising Campaign of the Year Award

The National Trust's campaign for Tyntesfield has won the Fundraising Campaign of the Year Award at The UK Charity Awards.

The National Trust's campaign elicited support from government bodies such as National Heritage Memorial Fund, the Heritage Lottery Fund and the public to raise a remarkable £24m in just 8 weeks to save the Victorian country estate of Tyntesfield near Bristol.

FARM-Africa Chief Executive wins Charity Principal of 2003

Dr Christie Peacock, Chief Executive of NGO FARM-Africa was awarded Charity Principal of the Year at the 2003 UK Charity Awards held in London last night.
