Fair Instant , a new instant Fairtrade coffee launched recently and is now available in supermarkets nationwide.

Fair Instant supports coffee growers through the Fairtrade social premium and also donates 20p of each jar sold directly to Save the Children, aiming to raise £200,000 supporting the charity's programme in Colombia. The initiative is supported by Antony Worrall Thompson.

Leicester City Football Club gets shirty with hospital appeal

Leicester City Football Club has pledged to donate £1 to the Mellow Yellow Friday appeal for every yellow LCFC shirt sold. Two first team players, Darren Kenton and Nils-Eric Johansson, launched the initiative today by visiting children in the Leicester Royal Infirmary Intensive Care Unit.

Chelsea Football Club manager José Mourinho announced today that he has become a patron of the UK's leading children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent.

CLIC Sargent is the official charity partner of Chelsea FC. The club and Jose are also helping to promote Childhood Cancer Awareness Month which is running throughout December.

Actor Nicky Henson (Jack Edwards, Eastenders) launched Swimathon 2007 this week to support new charity beneficiary Marie Curie Cancer Care by committing to “Get In and Swim” the epic 5K challenge at the event, 22-25 March 2007.
