BBC Radio Scotland seeks local fundraising event to cover

BBC Radio Scotland is once again offering to showcase local community groups' fundraising events with another series of Let's Do The Show Right Here.

The programme focuses on local community groups raising funds for a cause in their area. BBC Radio Scotland will choose which groups to feature and will send along presenter Bryan Burnett to help with their fundraising event.

Swindon Marriott seeks local charity partner

The Marriott Hotel in Swindon is seeking applications from local charities to be its selected charity. The hotel has joined the international hotel chain's community involvement programme

The selected charity will benefit from staff fundraising, use of the hotel's facilities for fundraising events, and donated staff time, including senior managers, to help with projects.

Damart pink vest raises £20,000 for Breast Cancer Campaign

Yorkshire-based Damart has raised £20,000 for Breast Cancer Campaign (BCC) with sales of a limited edition Pink Vest designed especially to help raise awareness of the charity.

Recruitment and training company The Synergy Group has chosen cancer care charity Macmillan Cancer Relief as their Charity of the Year 2006.

Synergy are planning a number of company-wide fundraising events throughout the year, with the support and advice of a dedicated Macmillan account manager.

Magic FM chooses GOSH as charity of the year

Magic FM has announced that Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity as its chosen charity for 2006.

Funds will be raised to improve the cancer facilities at the hospital through a number of on air and online initiatives. Magic will also donate five percent of all profits from its phone and text competitions.

ChildLine has launched its 20th Birthday Appeal with the target of raising £20 million in order to help at least another 1,000 children every day over the next two years.

Debenhams raises over £1 million for Breast Cancer Campaign

Department store Debenhams has raised over £1 million in its five year cause related marketing partnership with the Breast Cancer Campaign.

Debenhams employees and customers have raised £1,150, 212 so far for the charity and the money is funding over 30 breast cancer research projects across the UK.
