Institute announces corporate partnerships conference

The Institute of Fundraising has announced that it will be holding a one-day conference in London on 25 April on Successful Corporate Partnerships.

The event is the latest in the Institute's series of one-day conferences. It will take place on 25 April 2006 at Inmarsat, London, EC1.

Prudential raises £163,000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief

Prudential UK and Prudential Property Investment Management Ltd (PruPIM) have raised £163,000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief, Prudential's Charity of the Year in 2005.

The partnership has involved Prudential employees and shopping centres across the UK taking part in a variety of activities and surpassing their original target of £150,000.

Cadbury Trebor Bassett promotes everyclick.com to staff

Cadbury Trebor Bassett is the first corporate supporter of everyclick.com actively to promote the charitable search engine to their staff, as part of their CSR programme.

Everyclick.com is the search engine that raises funds for a user's chosen charity, at no cost to the user or the charity. It donates 50% of its revenue to charities listed on the site.

London Underground donates poster space to Changing Faces campaign

London Underground (LU) is supporting 'Facing Disfigurement with Confidence' a new network-wide campaign by the charity Changing Faces.

The campaign, which runs from 3 to 17 March, aims to change the way people respond and interact with children living with a disfigurement.

Cheshire Building Society chooses ChildLine as Charity of the Year 2006

Cheshire Building Society has announced that ChildLine will be its first ever Charity of the Year in 2006.

Funds raised by the building society will help to pay for the recruitment and training of volunteer counsellors at Childline. Staff will also be encouraged to volunteer for the charity.

Ember Inns invite pub goers to 'drink pink' in March

Ember Inns has partnered with Against Breast Cancer to encourage drinkers at its 171 pubs to swap their usual drink during March for a glass of rose wine, with 5p donated to the charity for every glass sold.

Findus to support British Heart Foundation

BG Group has announced that it will continue its partnership with CARE International and has launched the BG Energy Challenge, a series of international challenge events for people working in the energy industry.

Timberland signs three-year deal to sponsor Barnardo's Big Toddle event

Barnardo's Big Toddle, the UK's biggest fundraising event for the under-fives, has signed a 3-year £300,000 deal with Timberland (UK) to be the event's presenting sponsor, while Hasbro (UK) Ltd will be an associate sponsor through its Play-Doh brand.

Sainsbury's Active Kids campaign for schools returns

Supermarket Sainsbury's is running its Active Kids campaign with shoppers passing on vouchers to their local school to exchange for sports equipment.

Last year's Active Kids campaign generated £17 million worth of sports equipment for nearly 24,000 schools. It aimed to inspire pupils and teachers to become more active.
