Charitable online lottery site GoodLot has launched Flying Circus, its latest online game.

The online game lets players try to guess the winner in an air-race between gyrocopters, biplanes and triplanes. The aircraft have to dodge ducks, balloons and UFOs to get to the winning line.

Temple St University Children's Hospital enjoys raffle boost

Temple St University Children's Hospital in Ireland has recently increased its annual Christmas raffle income substantially after recruiting new raffle ticket sellers.

The ticket seller recruitment was handled by Anderson Manning Associates Charity Services Division (AMA Charity Services Ltd), which was also charged with increasing response rates.

Mobile Lottery announces 10 beneficiary charities

The ten charities that will benefit from the UK's first mobile lottery have been announced.

The charities include The Children's Society, Cancer Research UK, International Care and Relief, WaterAid, and Afrikids. The Mobile Lottery, founded by Charles Cohen, the former founder of online currency Beenz, will donate 20p of each £1 ticket sold.

GoodLot launches new online camel racing game for charity

GoodLot, the combined fundraising gaming and betting Web site, has launched a new camel racing game called, rather cheekily, 'Camel Lot'.

Players can stake as little as 10p and win up to 100 times their stake in the animated Flash game. Five camels with names such as Nasty Nancy, Sandstorm and Couscous then race across the desert to the finish line.

NSPCC online raffle raises £16,000

Revolution magazine features NSPCC's online raffle last year as its campaign of the month for January 2004.

The campaign, handled by Charity Technology Trust (CTT), ran for five weeks in July and August 2003. The NSPCC aimed to raise £15,000 via the raffle and to raise awareness of the promotion among staff and corporate supporters.

Friends Reunited launches not-for-profit online lottery for charities

Friends Reunited has launched a not-for-profit lottery which will donate 45p of the £1 tickets to a range of 15 charities, with more organisations to be added later.

Happy Group, the company that runs the Friends Reunited Web site, says that the first draw will take place towards the end of January 2004 and will thereafter be held weekly on Tuesdays at 5pm.
