The Community Development Foundation (CDF) is seeking applications from organisations in England to manage the delivery of the £130 million Grassroots Grants programme in their area.

Tesco Charity Trust supports Mendip keep fit programme

The Tesco Charity Trust has made a grant of £2,000 a partnership of Mencap, Mendip District Council and the Beckery Resource Centre in Glastonbury to provide courses for people with learning disabilities to improve their fitness and develop their own leisure skills. The grant came from the Trust's community awards scheme.

Hospital Saturday Fund donate £5,000 to Motor Neurone Disease Association

The Hospital Saturday Fund has donated £5,000 the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

The donation was received by Lembit Opik to MP Lembit Opik, President of MDNA, who said: "Every penny of the money given by HSF will be matched by the Government. So, in effect, this is a £10,000 contribution to the search for a cure".

The City Bridge Trust donates £77,250 to the Pumphouse Education Trust

The City of London Corporation's The City Bridge Trust has made a £77,250 grant to The Pumphouse Education Trust in Southwark. The grant will be made over three years to help with the running costs of an environmental sustainability programme for pre-school and primary school children and their families.

Big Lottery Fund awards £41.5 million to 84 projects in England

The Big Lottery Fund has granted £41.5 million to 84 projects across England that support networks for carers and people with disabilities. The awards are part of the Fund's BASIS programme that aims to increase the effectiveness of the Third Sector through the provision of expert, consistent and sustainable services.

HFT receives £140,000 grant from Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund

HFT, the national charity for people with learning disabilities, has received a £140,000 donation from the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF).

Over 100 of HFT's 1,000 service users are related to members of the RAF and the RAFBF has supported the charity for over 20 years.
