Red Cross partners with Vaxhuall on Safety Net

Someone was going to come up with an online charity tie-in called Safety Net sooner or later, so the name of Vauxhall's road safety site in collaboration with the British Red Cross will come as no surprise.

Online Fundraising School opens

FundClass is an experiment in using the Internet to learn about fundraising.

Using an e-mail list, participants will share experiences and expertise on particular topics in an "informal online classroom" setting. The list is sponsored by Professional Support Software (PSS), and is run by volunteers.

The Southern Africa Institute of Fundraising publishes information on its Code of Ethics, National Council, branches, membership details and constitution.

Companies House is now searchable

Companies House records can now be searched via the Web. The public information service about UK businesses launched the Web version of their database this month.

You can search some information for free, included disbarred directors, but you still have to pay for other company search material.

Charity Commission's use of the Internet

Paul Fredericks, Head of Communications at the Charity Commission, writes in this month's ACENVO VOICE magazine, about the Commission's use of the Internet.

He explains that they have had a presence since 1995, and in 1996 enhanced the site with the full range of Commission publications.
