Philanthropy Journal Online has changed its Web address.

Philanthropy Journal Online has changed its URL to www.pj.org, a concise and easy-to-remember address. The old address, www.philanthropy-journal.org, will, however, continue to function.

Royal British Legion launches Web site

The Royal British Legion has launched its first Web site.

The Web site accepts online credit/debit card donations and features a downloadable 3-D poppy screensaver.

Interestingly the charity has chosen to omit the 'Royal' element of its name in its Web site address.

Help.co.uk, the domain name to help those in need

Help.co.uk is the appropriately selected Internet domain name dedicated to helping those in need.

Help.co.uk provides a quick and easy-to-use categorised index of links to helpful websites all over the UK, and worldwide. Categories covered include emergency services, hospitals & clinics, the elderly, charities and wildlife.

New online lottery for the UK

A new online lottery is to be launched in the Autumn to benefit UK charities.

Run by InterLotto, the organisation that established PlusLotto in aid of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the lottery will be played in pubs and other retail outlets.
