Tesco scores for Against Breast Cancer

England and Tottenham Hotspur footballer Jermain Defoe has just accepted a cheque for £7227 from Tesco on behalf of charity Against Breast Cancer. Tesco raised the funds through the sale of a crown-themed sleepwear range designed by long term supporters of the charity, The Perfectly Pink Company.
Becci Smith, head of buying for clothing essentials at Tesco said; “Many of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer and the work of Against Breast Cancer is important for many of our customers. We were delighted to sell this sleepwear range which proved very popular and I am thrilled it has raised funds for this important cause.”
There to witness the presentation at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club were Adele Cable, Director of The Perfectly Pink Company responsible for designing the clothing and accessories range with Tesco and Wendy Taylor Hill, Corporate Manager at Against Breast Cancer.
Wendy said ‘the popularity of the Royal wedding this year definitely helped boost sales of the crown motif sleepwear range. We want to thank Jermain for taking time out of his busy footballing schedule to accept the cheque on our behalf and to thank both Tesco and The Perfectly Pink Company for working with us to raise these funds.’
