The Floppies for Kiddies Recycled Diskette Project is currently underway at USA CityLink.

Everyone is being asked to send unused, but still usable, floppy disks to CityLink offices where they will be distributed to schools, camps or other non-profit organizations that use computers.

Charities Aid Foundation's site Charitynet is offering free Web space for charities. The site now lists over 70,000 charities and tax-exempt organisations. Charities will receive up to half a megabyte of space on which to publish basic information about themselves.

Web company donates website to disaster-hit charity

An Internet Service Provider in Canada has donated a website to the Manitoba Riding for the Disabled Association to help it recover from the destruction of its riding arena and offices. The website asks for funds for the organisation.

InternetXpress donated the Web site "in the hope that people everywhere will see their plight and offer to help."

.net magazine, the Internet magazine, is offering charities free Web space. They will list a charity's aims, mission statement and history together with contact details and any newsletters or promotional literature.
