I'm afraid that a combination of some especially busy weeks at work and my home broadband going down for a while has left my blog rather sparsely updated recently.

However, I have had the opportunity to write a short piece for the e-newsletter of the Resource Alliance on one of the subjects I've been working on quite a lot recently - Community Fundraising 2.0.

You know that Facebook and other social networking sites look a likely source of new donors and a good way to communicate with existing supporters.

On the back page of Third Sector magazine this week, Matthew Little pointed out that Facebook is turning out to be "a very lonely frontier" for some organisations in the charity sector.

There's been a lot of interest in my post about the growth in users of the Justgiving Facebook app last week, so I thought it might be useful to provide a brief review of what other fundraising apps are currently available - to help give a broader picture of how fundraisers are starting to use this new online platform.
