Poppy Appeal collector wins Legion gold award for service

Congratulations to Betty Reed, 81, from Brighton for 40 years of local fundraising. She received the Royal British Legion's gold award for service in recognition of her 40 years of voluntary support for the appeal.

Her husband, Peter Reed, a disabled ex-serviceman, died 38 years ago. Since then, she has been supported by the charity.

Whitewater win twice at National Fundraising Awards

Congratulations to direct marketing and fundraising agency Whitewater for winning the double at this week's National Fundraising Awards.

Best face-to-face campaign

This award is given for the campaign that demonstrates innovation linked to success with face-to-face fundraising. Judges were looking for applications that showed proof of creativity and development of the technique.
