Action Planning - Demonstrating Outcomes

Event Details -

Action Planning - Demonstrating Outcomes
  • Date: 25/07/2013 - 10:00 - 16:00
  • Venue: St Mungos, 33 Rushworth Street, London SE1 0RB
  • Fee: GBP £146 inc VAT. Cost includes lunch, handouts and workbook.

This workshop is designed to help charities to improve their understanding of outcomes and how they can be measured to demonstrate social value to stakeholders. It is of particular value to organisations working in social care, housing, health and disability, children and young people, employment, faith-based projects and international development – which often work with soft outcomes and change lives in ways which few funders fully appreciate.

Funders are increasingly demanding evidence from charities of the outcomes they deliver. Some outputs and ‘hard’ outcomes are relatively straightforward to measure but, if your mission is to transform lives, to build confidence, to enable independence or to impart skills, it can be more difficult to demonstrate to funders the qualitative changes which you inspire in those you serve.

This intensive, one-day workshop is designed to help you to measure these ‘soft’ outcomes and demonstrate the true value of your work. We will introduce a range of participatory evaluation tools which can show just how far your clients, volunteers and beneficiaries have come since being involved with your project.

It will provide an understanding of how outcomes can benefit the whole organisation, not just the fundraising function, to understand the difference your services make and to develop them to make more effective use of resources and increase benefit to your service users. The workshop provides the opportunity to think about how to embed outcomes thinking into your organisation.

The attendance fee is £146.00 including VAT and all course materials. For further information on workshop dates and how to book please go to http://www.actionplanning.co.uk/outcomes or alternatively call our Events Team on 0208 661 8066.
