The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) has launched an appeal for the people of Syria. Author and actor Michael Palin presented the TV appeal on BBC One last night.
According to the DEC, "two years of war have had a devastating impact on many Syrian families and have left more than four million people in need of aid".
A similar appeal was also broadcast on ITV, presented by actor Rufus Sewell.
